She believes that reading and writing are lifelong sports, and it is her job to develop great players. “I believe that the foundation of Catholic education is looking at what we learn through a lens of faith. Students in my classes learn to read and write, but also consider questions of morality when analyzing literature. This approach results in graduates who are critical thinkers, confident in their ability to express themselves and live the Word.” Mrs. Lowney’s daughters graduated from St. Mary School, and in her down time, she loves to read, walk her dog, travel and laugh.
