Marcee Ervin is the principal of St. Mary School where she started in 1993 as part of the teaching staff. Most recently she served as the vice principal and a junior high math and science teacher, and was appointed to her current leadership position in 2018. Ms. Ervin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Human Development from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from San Jose State University, and a Certificate in Catholic School Leadership from Santa Clara University. Ms. Ervin is a strong proponent of the growth mindset developed by Carol Dweck: “In a growth mindset, people believe that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work—brains and talent are just the starting point. This view creates a love of learning and a resilience that is essential for great accomplishment.”
Ms. Ervin is the proud parent of two St. Mary School graduates.
