Lindsey Olmstead

Lindsey Olmstead is the 2nd grade teacher at St. Mary School and joined the faculty team in 2017. As a graduate of Archbishop Mitty High School, Mrs. Olmstead went on to Loyola Marymount University where she received her Master of Arts degree in literacy and language arts, Bachelor of Arts degree in theological studies, and California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Previously, she taught kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd and 5th grades in the Diocese of San Jose, Archdiocese of Los Angeles, and at Covington Elementary School in the Los Altos School District. She is excited to return to Catholic education, and with second grade as her favorite, she looks forward to guiding her students through the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist. Of teaching, Mrs. Olmstead says, “I love to watch my students grow and blossom through the year. I love watching their personalities develop and getting to know each one of them for exactly who he or she is. Being a teacher is truly a blessing!” When she is not in the classroom, Mrs. Olmstead loves spending time with her family and working as an advocate for the arts and has worked frequently as both a director and performer at the Children’s Theater of San Jose.
