St. Mary School will discover Catholic Schools week November 15 – November 21, 2020 and celebrate Catholic Schools Week, January 31 -February 6, 2021:

Sunday, January 31—Faith, Knowledge and Service: In Our Parish. We begin our week of celebration with families attending Mass at 5 p.m.

Monday, February 1—Faith, Knowledge and Service: In Our Faculty, Staff, Parents and Volunteers. Staff and parents will enjoy coffee and breakfast burritos at morning drop-off. Our Student Council officers will attend a liturgy at the Cathedral.

Tuesday, February 2—Faith, Knowledge and Service: In Our Community. Gilroy Mayor Roland Velasco will proclaim this week “Catholic Schools Week” at assembly, and we will celebrate our recent membership with the Chamber of Commerce by hosting a ribbon cutting and hospitality during morning assembly. Open House will be from 9 a.m. to noon. Room Moms will deliver student letters and artwork to community organizations.

Wednesday, February 3—Faith, Knowledge and Service: In Our Nation. The local VFW Color Guard will join us at morning assembly for a special flag ceremony and recognition for their contribution of service to our nation. Teachers will hand out treats to parents during morning drop-off.  Student Council chose Pennies for Patients as its service project and will collect donations during this week.

Thursday, February 4—Faith, Knowledge and Service: In Our Students. Spirit Day/Rally for students. “Buddy Day” and “no homework night.”

Friday, February 5—Faith, Knowledge and Service: In Our Vocations –Grandparents/Special Friends Day. Mass at 8:45 a.m. followed by brunch and student performances for our guests. Guests visit classrooms following the performance.
